Firm History
Firm founder Barry Hammarback built his reputation in agricultural law and stray voltage cases across the country. In all, Mr. Hammarback has worked on more than 90 cases involving
stray voltage and its effects on dairy animals. Of the 90 plus dairy farmers he has represented, only five of these cases
have not resulted in a verdict or settlement for the farmer, and four have resulted in jury verdicts of more than $1,000,000.00.
Over the years, the firm has evolved and now handles a variety of legal and complex cases, but our commitment to quality and
traditional values has remained true. Hammarback, Murray & Jacobson,
S.C. serves clients throughout the country from our convenient office location in River Falls, Wisconsin, a community
located just twenty minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul. We are nationally-known for our expertise in agricultural law and stray
voltage cases. We have represented diary farmers in the states of Georgia,
Indiana, Iowa, Michigan,
Minnesota, New Mexico, Washington
and Wisconsin. We have also successfully represented clients
in the areas of personal injury law, utility law, medical malpractice, insurance claims, divorce and family law, workers'
compensation, product liability law, property disputes, social security disability, and criminal defense and traffic law.
Our attorneys are licensed to practice law in Wisconsin
and Minnesota and handle cases throughout both states. Though
we are trial lawyers at heart, we also have long been active in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a cost effective and practical way of resolving disputes.
Over the years, our firm has evolved into a sophisticated legal practice that has
access to resources not normally associated with law firms its size. The advantage clients enjoy is a combination of the best
of both worlds, as our big-firm practice provides experience and expertise as well as the personal touch and individualized
attention typically provided by small firms. Our attorneys have an impressive history of results at the negotiating table
and in the courtroom, and provide all of our clients with responsive, prompt, thorough, and aggressive legal representation
in a wide range of areas.
